Ivanhoe-Cambridge (CDP) va construire un tour à bureau de 45 étages en partenariat avec Hines à Chicago et c'est du 100% spéculatif. Aucun locataire majeur n'a été trouvé. Et le marché des tours à bureaux n'est pas si hot à Chicago en ce moment (aucune tour à bureau depuis 5 ans).

Scan the "under constuction" list of projects in any of these cities on SSP and you'll find that an increasing number of them are mixed-use projects!

 

The mono-use function distribution that started decades ago is finally now beginning to shift. I'm definitely not against office buildings, but mixed-use buildings are undeniably better in terms of good urban principles.

For a long time mixed-use buildings were something of an oddity in the North American city, today they are taking up an ever larger share of the pie. This is a positive trend that provides economic, social and even environmental benefits in many subtle little ways.

 

TL;DR: office building good, mixed-use building better!

As an anchor tenant it should do it for the 900 right?

He's not saying that EY will be moving to 900 de Maisonneuve, it's a publication made by EY's real estate group in which they interview one of SITQ's senior executive. Tresham is hopeful they will break ground soon but there's no mention of any anchor tenant.
