I think this hotel is called William Gray? Not sure if these are two different projects?

MONTREAL—William Gray, a new boutique hotel, is set to open here this summer. Located on St-Vincent, a short distance from Place Jacques-Cartier and the Old Port, the hotel offers 127 guestrooms and suites.

The property features over 10,000 sq. ft. of event space, a 180-seat restaurant, a rooftop terrace, a luxury spa with an outdoor pool, a boutique, a café, and views of Montreal’s landmarks. Designed to be contemporary yet classic, William Gray seeks to introduce a dynamic and singular experience to Old Montreal’s hospitality landscape, according to the company.

This new structure includes eight floors and incorporates two historic buildings. A new glass tower sits atop the restored historic Maison Edward-William-Gray and Maison Cherrier, the hotel’s sensibility is on display. The hotel’s curated furniture, which includes mixed leather and textiles, a grand communal table, and bar aim to evoke a home away from home aesthetic.

Rooms and suites feature local art, rich wood, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Additional touches include light-colored floors and walls, concrete ceilings, black metal light fixtures, white sheer curtains and espresso furniture.

An array of offerings and amenities will be offered as well as a number of forthcoming local collaborations.

It makes sense to name this new hotel William Gray since the white house was built for the merchant and sherif named William-Edward Gray. However, I would have use the full first name of the guy : I think the William-Edward Gray hotel sounds better than just William Gray -plus the fact that it is not his full name !!
