    I still find it curious that the Ville de Montréal — with full credit taken by its mayor — could unilaterally block a major housing and community development in the arrondissement de Pierrefonds-Roxboro, or Pierrefonds’ long-needed (and promised) urban boulevard, imposing instead a one-kilometre bus lane from an already-saturated rue Antoine-Faucon in the boulevard’s place… yet somehow we’re expected to believe the Ville de Montréal and its mayor had no say in the unravelling of this development in the arrondissement de St-Laurent. Yeah right.

    Yup. I hop in the lane in my EV, at the posted 70 limit — but still sailing past traffic — and immediately get single-occupant, blue-plate cars racing up my ass at (easily) 120. Meanwhile, the huge bus and taxi lanes east of the 138 are practically empty, but HOVs and EVs aren’t allowed to use them.

    Like the A440 boulevard will only be a bike path (except for a 1 km bus lane between a saturated Antoine-Faucon and the Colosseum). Here’s hoping a future, more pragmatically-minded administration has the balls to change these plans.
