  1. In Papineau and west of St-Laurent I’m sure it would be bright red.
  2. Lol. Sorry, rien d’utile à ajouter plus que “lol.” Merci de me faire loler.
  3. Wow you do get around. Do you work for Otis? 😝

Aaahhhh there’s my Île-Bigras link! And the “unprotected” section of Boul. Pierrefonds! And the A440 is from shore to shore! Ok I’m on board if they truly expand it according to the map. Still missing the hyper-important north-south links from St-Charles to Alexis-Nihon, but maybe that will be unveiled sooner rather than later as boroughs and municipalities announce major road upgrades in the coming decade (such as des Sources between the 40 and the 20), and the MTQ firms up plans for the overpass replacements.
  5. You answered your own question. It’s a map for Montréal, part of a preliminary study presented to the Office de Consultation Publique de Montréal to organize consultations and generate a report. The OCPM’s mandate is to report to the Agglomération de Montréal, not the CMM.
  6. The black frame in the crown looks like a music fest stage. Maybe they’ll have live shows for the rooftop terraces on the other eight buildings on the block?
  7. I mean, it’s a great pic, @Rocco, I appreciate it. Getting the Pinte Guaranteed in it is really good.
  8. Woohoo! Full steam ahead! Oh wait. Just a pointless bump.
  10. Sub-letting is legal in Québec, provided all parties follow the rules. Short-term renting and sublease arbitrage (tourism sub-rentals of less than 31 days for profit) without permission from landlords or condo associations, and registration with both Tourisme and Revenue Québec is illegal. While it’s probably the toughest set of regulations in North America to counter the “Airbnb problem,” they aren't generally enforced. In the most recent analysis by watchdog Inside Airbnb, roughly 95% of Montréal’s ~13,000 listings are unregistered.
  11. Hmmmmmm… I thought the big cost of the first segment was all the necessary rebuilding of the road infrastructure. I’d have thought two kilometres of “just busway” would cost peanuts. Oh well. /s
  12. That’s probably the number one profession in the province, “studying.” Fonctionnaire’s gotta fonctionne.
  13. I’ve only skimmed the document, but two things immediately stood out to me: first, I hope we don’t fall for (and dump money into) the Gadgetbahnen like those Navya/EasyMile automated shuttles (as shown in the header above); and second, other than a possible connection between YUL and Dorval and maybe a bus lane on Côte-de-Liesse (A520), there is zero vision for any mass transit development in the west for the upcoming 30 years.
  15. Yes, but one of the few concepts of trickle-down that isn’t just a fantasy is the notion of upward mobility. As long as the economy isn’t stagnant or in recession, people and families will always move up or out. When those near the top seek out new developments (whether in the core or out in the suburbs), it frees up existing properties, allowing everybody on the ladder to move up a rung.
  16. Cela m'apporte tellement de joie, de vous voir rajeuni et profitant à nouveau de notre beau pays! Je vous souhaite encore beaucoup de belles aventures. 🥂
