  1. The OCPM's proposal is trash, they want all buildings the same height. I prefer the first version obviously, as it looks nicer than having 6 80M buildings.
  2. I remember going to the future of Montreal event last year, and on this lot were 4 towers. 2 small office towers and 2 taller condos, the tallest looking at least 150M. If i find the pic i'll post it here.
  3. Seriously more effective than Tourism Montreal ads. Everyone this is a must watch and make sure you share it and show off the amazing city we live in! :mtl::mtl:
  4. Typical of them, they never (or rarely) have anything positive to say about Montreal.
  5. I'm sick and tired of these uneducated, lazy ass government leaching anarchists. Always ruining businesses and causing unnecessary B.S. I hope the cops find them and give them a good beating or something, seriously tired of these people.
  6. thank you what was cool is how there was still some mist in the air from the fog today (you can't see it in the pic) but it made it look dreamy.
  7. I love how big the windows are and how slim the building is, very nice : Thumbsup:
  8. I understand what you're saying, maybe if they have a progression of 190,200,210M. buildings it'll look more natural. Personally i hope the city allows them to build to the maximum height, especially since this city isn't used to big projects like this.
  9. I know the city is strict with height limits, but rejecting that will be the dumbest thing to do. Remember, it's all about revenue, property taxes + factoring in all the people who can potentially live there and contribute to businesses. I think it's a great trade off, we get what looks like 3 200+M towers and the city gets $$$.
  10. Quad Windsor development, Montreal on Vimeo I didn't want to bump the Q.W thread since it's been a while, but here's a cool video i found showing TDC2 and the Quad
  11. The thing about GDP per capita is that it's heavily weighted with richer incomes. For example, you see American cities with higher GDP per capita in their respective metropolitan areas, but they tend to have a higher cost of living and poverty rates compared to Canadian cities. For example before moving back to Montreal I lived in Miami, which has a lower GDP per capita than Detroit (city vs city), and one of the highest poverty rates, yet it increases in the Metro due to an abundance of rich people living there. So we may have a GDP per capita of ~40K USD but relative to our C.O.L you're well off. This is something we have discussed in my developmental economics class.
  12. No idea to be honest, I know it's been about a month or so. I hope they turn it back on because it looks awkward without it.
  13. TDC needs to add lighting asap, L'avenue hopefully will have some and Deloitte should turn their lights back on.
  14. Emporis needs to update their numbers, Rocca 1/2 aren't 120M and CCE looks right in the 119M range. On skyrisecities they have the HolidayInn at 122 Metres.
  15. Is it topped out? or do they have to add mechanical levels? Looks a little taller than 120M, love the impact : Thumbsup:
  16. The last couple of days there haven't been lights on PVM or Deloitte tower especially for PVM, i would've loved to see it in person.
  17. same promoter of YUL for this project.
