Et j'imagine que ces plans originaux étaient tout à fait fantastiques mais vu que on ne peut rien se payer de qualité ici, on scrap le design pour quelque chose d'horriblement années 60 laid pour sauver de l'argent pour bien payer Tony Tomassi, le boss de la FTQ et les piscines olympiques dans les prisons.

 

Attendez tout de même d'avoir des rendus plus évolués d'autant plus que je pense que les rendus sont encore préliminaire.

De toute manière, pour un hôpital, un design à l'horizontal, plus trapu, est à mon avis bien plus souhaitable que de jolies tours élancées! Devoir travailler sur plusieurs étages, avec les mouvements des patients et du matériel, c'est véritablement un enfer, une perte de temps incroyable, peu importe le nombre d'ascenseurs qu'il y aura! Enfin, c'est mon expérience à travailler à Maisonneuve-Rosemont. Les pavillons horizontaux étaient beaucoup plus "efficaces" que la tour de 11 étages .

I know. The word super hospital for this doesn't make sense. Honestly if they doubled the beds for the children and everyone else it for sure make sense to call it a super hospital.

Je m'insurge pas contre la hauteur, je m'insurge contre le design. C'est laid, c'est blanc, c'est bétonné, on parle de lumière alors que sur les desseins, il y a pas tant de fenêtres que ça, etc.

 

Mais je me garde une réserve pour le design final comme Gregbx l'a dit, ce n'est pas final ce que l'on a vu à ce jour.

I am with you on that one. It be nice to see an actual private hospital here, but aren't they considered illegal?

Yes, they are illegal. We can thank our socialist healthcare model for that. For private healthcare to be legalized, the federal government would have to rewrite a few laws. The Tories are the only ones who would ever dream of allowing it. Of course, it won't happen unless they have a majority. The Quebec government seems to be open to the idea. We've had private clinics longer than any other province if I'm not mistaken. This is one of the only issues where the rest of Canada is to the left of Quebec.

 

Just imagine the huge market for private healthcare in Canada. I know I'd be willing to pay to get treated quicker if I was sick, even if I had to borrow money. You can't put a price on good health. Best part is, the government wouldn't need to spend a dime funding it. These hospitals would fund themselves (and pay taxes to the government, which can be reinvested in the public system!)
