Y a rien d'annoncé du côté de Monit. La porte est ouverte du côté de la ville. Il y a une chance qu'ils devancent l'échéancier pour prendre le marché avant que le Ritz le fasse.

je sais qu'à cet emplacement la 64 étages c'est pas pensable et ça serait pas beau vis à vis du Mt Royal..par contre ça se prendrait bien du coté du centre Bell ou sur RL entre la tour IBM et la cité du commerce electronique ...c'est moche cet emplacement de premier choix vide...y avait un projet superbe de tour dorée à un moment....comme les diamants...disparus

 

men fou pas mal de la montagne... cest vis a vis du bati actuel quune tour de 64 etages n'aurait pas de sens....

 

pour l'emplacement, moi je le trouve tres bien; cest un secteur relativement high class, et ca fit bien avec larchitecture existante. peut etre a part un spot pres du square vic, pres des vieux edifices du coin, je ne vois pas de meilleur endroit.

 

en passant, ce projet devrait t il depasser en hauteur la haute tour a logements en beton de lautre bord de la rue, ou les edifices 'molson's de concordia au sud?

Not so much enthusiasm from them

 

Of course, that would only be a good thing if the new highrises are well-designed and respectful of their surroundings. I’ll wait to see what the Waldorf-Astoria’s plans are to pass judgement on its architecture, but I doubt much good will come from the opening of yet another luxury hotel and apartment complex in a city that risks becoming little more than an exotic weekend destination for Americans and a new world pied-à-terre for wealthy Europeans.

LOL.... there aren't enough luxury hotels in Montreal given the city's stature. Maybe they would prefer low-cost housing here instead. Some of these people are so out-of-touch with reality and have no clue how the real world works.

Those out of towners who buy properties in montreal to come once in a while are to a certain extend, the best kind of people a city can get, they don't use any service for most part of the year, yet they pay the same taxes as a full time resident. And usually, when they come in town, they will spend more than many people would do in a full year in restaurants, shops and other leisure activities.

J'aurais pas plus mieux dire ! Mais par contre, ça crée un effet ville-fantôme. Ce n'est pas vraiment un problème à Montréal, mais semble-t-il que ce l'est de plus en plus à Québec et surtout dans le vieux Québec, de ce que j'ai entendu dire.

That and they usually work outside Montréal, so they bring money from outside to spend here.
