COVID-19: L'effet sur l'économie et sur l'immobilier à Montréal

Ca va être une catastrophe pour le centre-ville de Montréal si les travailleurs ne reviennent pas en grand nombre. Pour l'instant, personne n'a envie de retourner work là. Les prix immobiliers vont baisser partout, il va y avoir des centaines de faillites. Les TEC vont être déficitaires pendant longtemps. Les gouvernements vont devoir faire quelque chose sinon ça sera la pire récession-dépression ever pour le centre-ville.

Im downtown almost everyday and its fine. Geez people are overreacting its crazy. Just wear a mask in metro and stores like they tell u. The other day a friend told me he knows someone who hasnt been to a restaurant or even entered a store since March. Im like, wtf seriously, people should stop taking Xanax, living life in the 21st century is such a misery for so many people! Just breath and exhale. People are sooo anxious. I should seriously start a pharma company.

Start your branding with an app such as "Deep Thoughts with Rocco" then work your way up to selling some "mood improvement" products. You could be onto something!

I agree with you 100%.

But thats not really the point of the vast majority of people not wanting to come back downtown... everyone realized its as productive for office workers to do it from home. This includes management to the highest levels... this is not something easy to reverse.

Now, saying this, I have been downtown numerous times by car, and its really really bad traffic wise even with everyone working from home. Yes most office workers go by mass transit, but I can't even imagine how it would be with a bit more motorists going to work downtown.

On va voir comment ça se passe en hiver lorsque les gens ne voudront pas sortir sur l'heure du midi et vont rester enfermés chez eux de 7 à 22h.

Il va falloir que les employeurs revoit leur façon de faire. Il faut vendre le lieu de travail comme un lieu de lifestyle, on y va parce que c'est plaisant, parce que c'est plus facile de discuter en personne mais dans un lieu invitant.

Il faut que les employeur soit ouvert sur les horaire flexible aussi.

Pourquoi aller faire un travail dans un cubicule gris étroit mal aisant quand tu peut faire tout de chez toi comfortablement.

C'est quoi la différence entre ça et passer de 7h a 22h en dedans chez toi + 1h de perte de temps dans le traffic dans une auto + 8h au bureau avec toutes les exigences du gouvernement de distanciation?  Ya absolument rien d'invitant dans un bureau pour le moment.   Laisse-moi dans mes affaires chez moi SVP

Tu va au resto du coin pour le lunch et/ou souper... quand tu veux changer d'air...
