I understand there's the beautiful StPat cathedral a block W, and that we shouldn't enclose it within an adjacent wall of towers, but Bleury isn't what i'd call adjacent, especially as this block's much wider than the average E-W block dt!

Agreed.  I could see this being 30-32 floors on Bleury and the set-back is in the rear... basically a reversed set-back.

Yep, 25-30+ definitely wouldn't seem out-of-place on this stretch.

Now, the problem is that because of the small area of the lot of this 4 flr commercial bldg, as the max density coefficient in Mtl is only 12 times the lot area spread out vertically, a 24-storey bldg would for instance have to roughly use half of that area, or else a bldg with a 4 flr podium covering the whole lot couldn't supercede 20 flrs...

Hence, we end up with a mini-Gt 2.0. 🙄
