I’m really hoping for underlighting on the elevated segments (like Vancouver) but I won’t hold my breath. But we’ve seen lights on the posts near Panama, so… maybe?

That will be relegated to the Océan service within the year as the Siemens Charger/Venture trains take on the bulk of corridor services.

Can't wait to see those new VIA trains next to the REM on that good ol' CN viaduc, finally 21st century transit has arrived!

The Renaissance trains built in 1995-1999 by Metro-Cammell aren’t that old; the old Budd sleepers that still occasionally do overnight services for VIA date to the 1950s!

Seriously can’t wait for this. As an initial rejuvenation of the fleet it’s an amazing first step, but real modernization will only happen when electrification takes place.
