  1. They’ll be functional in November. ARTM made an article about them and says the dates they’ll be operating in all the stations
  2. Seems like there is a plan for QR scanning: https://www.artm.quebec/nouveaux-portillons-dans-les-stations-du-rem/
  3. I installed them a few days before the REM opened. The day the article came out about the student who made an application to reload OPUS fares with their phone, they saw I posted how I installed my own signs, and contacted me, so they could continue the stories of students fulfilling what the ARTM isn't doing
  4. I was the one who installed all the signs, leading to articles against the ARTM, and now finally they’re doing something. You’re right, they shouldn’t be reactionary, they should’ve done this all themselves
  5. I did these myself because the ARTM wouldn’t add any signage. Having something is better than nothing
  6. Unlike exo buses, RTL buses won't change their network until August 21st, when they normally do schedule changes, due to the unions agreements. In the meantime, the 90 and 45 bus will no longer run, and instead be replaced by a new temporary bus (starting July 31st), the RTL 742 (the number is in reference to how many kilometres the RTL covers). This bus will make stops at Brossard Station, followed by Du Quartier Station, Stationnement Chevrier, Panama Station, then Terminus Centre-ville. It will run every 15 minutes during rush hours, and 30 minutes outside of rush hours. It will cease to exist starting August 21st, and the REM will fully replace it.
  7. I wonder how Montréal would look if Rocco was in charge... silent trains, no overhead cables (meaning more breakages in the winter because 3rd rail isn't that suitable), but hey at least all the train stations would be in mint condition!
  8. The whole reason the metal part sticks out on the machines in the stations is to fit the scanner in it. I asked them why the white NFC reader isn't centred to the display, and they told me the mobile ticketing scanner is under this, and requires devices to be closer to the right.
  9. The machines will allow for mobile ticketing options as well as barcodes/QR codes, as will the buses in the future. That’s why the new machines in buses have the scanner above the displays, and these machines have them under the piece that hangs over. The STM posted about it on Twitter too
  10. Yes and you’ll be able to use a QR code like seen in other countries like the Netherlands.
  11. The Elizabeth line in London has almost identical overhead cables, and it’s a modern rail line. I know this is from a few weeks ago, but I want to show how no one cares about this, no one was talking about it when the Elizabeth line opened.
  13. The reason I left this forum was because of the constant bickering. When I try to include useful information, it continues. You’re not adding anything by repeating the same thing over and over
  14. Pas les nouveaux tarifs, qui se produiront à l'automne lors de l'ouverture du REM. Seul le nouveau terminal de bus ouvrira ses portes en juin, tous les mêmes itinéraires que maintenant.
