  1. I tried those things. Blah - it was nasty. Felt like it was imitation ribs made out of carboard, dipped into some nasty sauce.
  2. Merci, c'est encourageant! Voici des autre photos que j'ai prise. Untitled by Ashokan, on Flickr Untitled by Ashokan, on Flickr

  5. I took a picture of this. It is a nice area - really different type of architecture. It is worth the walk. Untitled by Ashokan, on Flickr
  8. I do not understand. These rendering look so much better, why did they opt for the new design? blah!

  10. What a disappointment… 7 floors only? This site should have been at least 20 + floors. :-(
  11. The Jewish General Hospital which is near St.Mary's had a really good vertical extension done. Hopefully, we will get similar results.
  12. Oh this would be so perfect for that corner!

I agree with you Cataclaw. I think the Hall Building's exterior is fine. They should clean the facade one day though.

I search for a word – maybe retarded is best suited to describe the Hall Building. Why is it going to take them two years to install?!?! Even STM, who is notorious for taking their sweet ass time, would have those escalators installs in a matter of months. To make things worse, they box up the entire mezz and ground floor (floor to ceiling.) From the 9th floor onwards, you can no longer access the escalators because they are being worked on too.

So if anyone noticed, they installed these 'art' installation in the tunnel linking Guy Concordia Metro with the Hall building. I am not sure what its purpose is. Maybe they are light fixtures - they are metals (maybe 1ft by 1ft) with pictures of houses engraved on them, put at regular intervals (maybe every couple of meters)
  16. I like this building a lot, we really need more buildings like this in Montreal. Though I agree, this is something we find along highway 401.

Dont know how to quote but this was in response to habfans - to demo the hall building. No way! I actually like the Hall building, it finds it adds charm to the area and Concordia. They do need to do a major clean up of the building. What would be nice if they get someone to re-program the elevators. You stand on the first floor, and there is already an elevator at the first floor. You press to go up, and it doesn't open. It waits for the other elevator, 12 floors down to come back down. WTF!!!??

yes, it is the older Asian woman and she is always on the 8th floor. I used to think she was a prof for some time, until I saw hockey tape on her skirt. For a homeless, I say she is very clean!
  19. I agree - but the Downtown campus does have a variety of architecture. Esp. once the Art department gets moved into the Grey Nun's building, we will have quite a bit of architecture: Grey Nun, Hall, Library, the EV-JMSB-GM set...etc.

Has anyone visisted the other campus? I went there last night, and almost two new buildings are up. The sports complex (?) and another building next to the Drummond Science Building.

The bathrooms on the 11th, 12th and 5 and 6 are great in the hall! They have almost no traffic! What amazes me are the bathroom in the Faubourg! I just do not understand how disgusting they are… You know, there is a homeless lady always on the 9th floor of the Hall Building. We spoke to her once, and she seemed really intelligent; now I am curious to find out her story.
