Here's what corner Guy/Sainte-Catherine looked like in 1974 (before being demolished). You can see a tiny bit of 1486 on the left.

 

 

Seemed like was quite a mighty building in its prime! Probably a textile shop of some kind?

 

The Art Deco building to the right seemed great! Too bad it's also gone!

Sérieusement, à mon avis, cette façade n'est pas d'un grand intérêt patrimonial.

this project is moving pretty fast - they are now adding a floor on top of what was the original roof. also seems to be taking up a portion of the building to the right. still don't get the facade thing - tear it down already!

Considering the kind of crap we get nowadays, it's probably for the best. I'm sure it'll look fine once restored.
