  1. The weird thing is, in the rendering, the project doesn't seem to be anywhere near 147 metres. Looks like 130 max.
  2. PVM added floors during construction to eclipse CIBC as the tallest building in the Commonwealth. I wasn't aware the 1000 and 1250 had a little battle as well?
  3. I went by it tonight and it's really becoming a beast from street level. On René-Lévesque looking west toward it, it gives the street an entirely different appearance at night. A tremendous addition to the streetscape and skyline!
  4. This was a hideous site, anything is better.
  5. Game changer enlivens Big O David Heurtel says he can ‘turn this place around’ http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Game+changer+enlivens+Olympic+Stadium+David+Heurtel+says/7663655/story.html
  6. I was at Place des Arts tonight, and wow, it looks incredible from that angle. Great addition to the skyline.
  7. I get what you're saying Habsfan, but considering how architectural stunning this tower is, it needs to be seen! Let's aim for 200 metres!
  8. The Score is definitely worth a watch. Montreal is shot in such a way that it's almost a character.
  9. This building is featured in the 2001 film The Score starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Marlon Brando. I remember when I saw the film in like 2008, I said to myself "there's no building there, was it added in post-production?" but now I can see it did exist! Great find, thanks!

    Nice article, here's hoping!
  11. Singer shot the first two X-Men films in Toronto and BC and the most recent film (X-Men First Class) was made for $160 million, which is spectacular news for the city.
  12. Already posted in the Tournages cinématographiques à Montréal et/ou mettant Montréal en vedette forum.
  13. The trailer for the 2013 zombie film Warm Bodies was released, which was shot entirely in Montreal, in which they also use the Montreal skyline as a "zombie-apocalypse city". Looks like they shot at the Olympic Stadium, and Mirabel airport. Very awesome, looks like a lot of fun.

  15. I always thought it was 737 metres above sea level? Unless its feet
  16. The ground floor wasn't big enough for a hotel component, so they scrapped it. This thing probably will remain at 48 floors and 160m.
