  1. So we're definitely at floor 41 now. Maybe these are the two slightly different floors from the rendering? Looks like we could indeed be in for 42 floors!
  2. It looks like they're speeding up a bit
  3. Lower Westmount, duhhh. My bad. Thanks MartinMtl! Does anyone know which street?
  4. Since I saw Life of Pi in theatre's, there's been a scene that bugs me. At one point, two characters walk out of a house and head through the city, but I can't tell which street the house is on. Can anyone help out? I think it may be between Sherbrooke and de Maisonneuve near the McGill ghetto? Here's a screenshot:
  5. I walked by it yesterday and it does appear that they are installing the tops of the elevator shafts, like Altitude - I think it's being topped out.
  6. Family Guy (briefly) visited Montreal last night and featured a song about Canadian strip clubs, done to the tune of "The Merry Old Land of Oz." Quagmire: "French also comes in handy when I have layovers in Montreal, that place is the best [...] Montreal has the best strip clubs in the world!" http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2013/04/15/family-guy-turns-classic-wizard-oz-song-vulgar-tune-about-canadian-nu
  7. I have a feeling it's an older rendering. Didn't they post the blue-looking one onto posters at the site? Why would they do that only to change the look to white (and alter the higher portion flooring from the west inside courtyard to the east side on Jeanne Mance) a few weeks later?
  8. 350 condos in the tower, 89 left to sell, that's 261 sold out of 350, which is 74.5%! Even better!
  9. I count 39 floors, and according to that reporter from La Presse, this tower has 44 floors. She was also the reporter who first said Roccabella and Icone were 147m and 145m respectively, and it turned out to be true, so I am really hoping we have another 5 floors to go. Also, if you count the last 5 floors from the top, the floor plates appear much higher than the rest. They look about half a metre taller
  10. I grew up in Dorval, and let me tell you, the citizens of that city had been whining and complaining for DECADES that the circle was not sufficient. That thing was built in the early 60s, and they had been promised upgrades ever since. You may want to blame the Liberals and blah blah, but at least construction finally started under their watch. If only they made sure it got up and running properly. It's disgusting how long its taking, but you know what, after a 50 year wait, another 6 years is a walk in the park.
  11. I saw it as the sun was going down tonight, and the way the sun hit it, I have to say, the blue glass was amazing. A much lighter blue, like the renders.
  12. You can really tell how much taller it is. 147m seems right on the money!
  13. Didn't they say the sales office would open in June? This seems a bit odd?
  14. I have a buddy who works at CN, pretty high up, and yeah I can confirm CN is definitely rooted and very active in Montreal.
  15. I walked by it today and I almost had a tear in my eye to see and hear construction work going on in such a great spot (FINALLY) is truly amazing
  16. YEARS to install proper lighting!? Come on! I can handle the rest of the Stadium and tower being renovated over 5 years, but I want the lighting now!
  17. Well they are saying occupation by June 2015, no? That means it's gonna have to start going up soon-ish.
  18. I cannot believe how fast they're moving.
  19. If we use Desjardins as a reference point, and 152 metres, this thing is a BEAST. Looks closer to 175 metres!
