Est-ce que ce projet va dépasser le Port Royal? Selon IMTL, c'est encore le plus haut immeuble résidentiel de Montréal avec 122 mètres.

I've examined the renderings closely and compared them to the flat side-view image of the Altitude found on their web site. I used a few tricks to try and estimate given the existing information.

 

My closest estimate is:

 

Low: 108.16m

Probable: 113.25m

High: 122.95m

 

It's like 120m is a psycholical barrier that must not be passed. I wonder when Montreal will see a project that tops 150m..

Those images are not correct.

 

First, look at the satellite view here:

In the images GDS posted, the L-shaped building on the corner of Cathcart/Union lines up with the south wall of the Altitude. In fact, the Altitude seems to surpass it just a bit.

 

In reality, the gap between the Altitude and the 1155 University is quite large, given that Zesto's Pizza occupies the space in between the two projects, plus a 4-5m gap in between the two buildings, as seen here:

Conclusion: I think (unfortunately) the Altitude is shown 20% too big in those images.

Well I think this tower is going to be between 120 and 125m high,according to this picture its 110m for 29 stories,so 110/29=3.7,So 33x3.7,That's 122m right there add that thing on top and it's about 125m...

I don't think that math is good.

 

The original 29 story proposal already had the triangular ornament at the top. Additionally, the original proposal already had the extra-high penthouse floors at the top. The lobby hasn't changed, so the additional 4 floors are all "normal" floors, which are certainly not 3.7m.

 

If we go with a more reasonable 3m, that works out to 3x4=12m.

 

That makes 122m for a theoretical maximum, which is what i posted earlier:

 

Low: 108.16m

Probable: 113.25m

High: 122.95m

 

I'm 95% sure this tower won't be taller than 123m.

 

Considering the 110m posted on that sign is probably a high-end maximum estimate most likely rounded off to boot, i'd say my original guess of 113.25m is close. It might get to 115m but i doubt it'll go much higher.

 

There's no way this will get to 130m.

 

I'd love for it to happen, don't get me wrong... but gotta be realistic!

123m makes lot's of sense

Theres still that parking lot beside it to a 150m tower,so once we will be pass our 120m mentality that parking is perfect for a taller one

Seeing as the hilton Garden Inn has 37 floors and is 120 meters tall, I seriously doubt Altitude will surpass 115 meters!
