Et pourquoi pas un toit rétractable *comme à Toronto?

 

Impossible d'installer un système comme à Toronto, il n'y a pas d'appui qui puisse être installé sur l'anneau technique. Autrement le faire de l'extérieur, à supposer que ce soit réalisable (ce que je doute fortement) détruirait à jamais l'aspect architectural du stade lui-même.

C'est une évidence. Seuls les imbéciles peuvent continuer à penser qu'on peut le traiter comme un vulgaire garage en tôle.

Ce monument mérite la meilleure solution pour le toit. Si la proposition de toit ouvrant qui avait été suggérée est réalisable, ce serait la meilleure option. Je passe devant a toute les semaine et jamais je ne me lasse de le regarder. les courbes de la tour sont absolument parfaites! Et un vrai systeme d'éclairage aussi serait le bienvenu

Les seuls a critiquer le stade Olympique sont les montréalais et les quebecois. Je n'ai pas entendu un touriste parler en mal de ce stade. Au contraire tous le trouve beau et original.

I took one of those tourist hop on hop off busses last summer for fun, and when the stadium and the tower came into view, the tourists literally awed and gasped out loud, and then proceeded to take a thousand photographs each. Most of them then looked to the people they were with and made the motion of "we have to get off here and explore". The only other location they did that was the Oratory and Notre Dame. Canada has confirmed they will be bidding on 2026 FIFA World Cup and with Toronto deciding not to bid on 2024 Summer Olympics (and a new stadium they would have built for the event), a renovated Big O (done like BC Place) has been discussed as the potential location for the final. *

 

The generation that watched the stadium's construction spiral out of control with corruption is getting older and quieter, and younger Montrealers see it in a more positive light. It will be fifty years old in 2026, a renovation is definitely coming and FIFA 2026 would be the perfect stage to show it off.*

I witnessed the same kind of reaction when i tour guided some friends from Australia. They were amazed by the imposing beauty of the stadium.

I agree with you. The time has arrived to look forward and activate these facilities to their full potential. Our visitors are better judges as their perception of this monument is not skewed in any way by its history. Lets make it come to life again and become a proud asset for montrealers. FIFA 2026 would be a great opportunity to make it happen.
