WestAust Posté(e) 17 juin 2011 Partager Posté(e) 17 juin 2011 Personally I don't know why people go crazy over the Lachine canal, the thing is nothing more than a smelly swamp, however I must say Griffintown is a great place to build and considering it's limited size we're wasting valuable land by allowing these ugly 8 storey projects, I would of love to see Cadillac Fairview build their twin 44 storey towers in that area It's far from being a smelly swamp like you describe it, why people want to go there, because you're right on the bike path that allows you to go for a nice ride on weekends, you're close to downtown but not smack in the middle, same for old montreal, close to atwater market which is better than most grocery stores in the area + the whole south-west neighborhood is starting to see more and more new restaurants and shops opening, all within 15 min car or bike ride! And the projects are not all 8 story high, les bassins will have towers of 20 floors that will be built, they are simply starting with the smaller ones Citer Lien vers le commentaire Partager sur d’autres sites
mtlrdp Posté(e) 17 juin 2011 Partager Posté(e) 17 juin 2011 yeah but you only mentioned the north side of the canal cross over to the south side and tell me what's there along St. Patrick? and how about going for a swim in that toxic soup ? urbandreamer Posté(e) 16 août 2011 Partager Posté(e) 16 août 2011 I used to walk around here when it was a wasteland...rather peaceful then, but nice to see beautiful buildings going up here. Which is why I've made this project my latest RenderPornStar. Can you tell I love the Montreal-style condo projects?
