En fait Évolo 1-2 ont 29-30 étages et Évolo 3 en a 24... Donc je ne vois pas pourquoi le promoteur crie au meurtre pour une révision de Évolo 5-6 à 25-27 étages.... Ça reste dans la moyenne des tours de Pointe Nord. Y'a juste Évolo 4 qui a 38 étages et qui est hyper haute.

I don't seem to understand who is leading this city, having prolonged periods of consultations - simply to give into NIMBYS at the end of the day.

From all estimates, transportation accounts for roughly 30% of all greenhouse gas emissions - yet we built modern public transit network and than don't allow anyone to built density around them. REM is surrounded by nothing but low-rise, not densifying any areas at all for the moment. Seems like they are pet projects for the population who want rapid access to city-centre, but no additional units to be built around them (TMR, Outremont, Ile-des-Soeurs, West Island). Just keep watching the exodus out of the city, letting NIMBYS control every inch of space on the island. 

This administration is truly a joke talking about climate change, but than doesnt want to built any density. Building a bike path and having people composting does virtually nothing for climate change, but give you a hero complex. No real solutions and no real leadership.

Pourquoi aller contre le gros bon sens.

Pourquoi ne pas respecter ses engagements.

Pourquoi ne pas écouter les recommandations de l’OCPM.

Pourquoi ne pas être à l’écoute des citoyens.

Pourquoi ne pas densifier autour d’une station de métro.

This is not even about NIMBY's, over 700 persons submitted they approval of higher towers in that area and to keep the things as they were with no changes needed for that part of the pointe nord, it's not like they wanted to get smaller tower

On top of that, the density permitted is the same a before, that will simply mean stubbier towers with less views of the water or less areas for parks and green spaces

Yep. Avec cette attitude de l'Administration envers les promoteurs, le transport collectif qui se développe en banlieue, la COVID et un possible 20-20-20, ne soyez pas surpris de voir les projets du centre-ville se déplacer à Brossard, Longueuil, Laval et West Island.

J'avoue que le signal que la ville envoie, pour Proment en particulier et par ricochet sur les autres promoteurs c'est: on peut vous promettre quelque chose, le signer, et ensuite le déchirer et vous imposer autre chose quelques années plus tard. Dans n'importe quelle situation ce serait aberrant, mais là en plus pour un projet planifié et intégré dans son ensemble (la Pointe Nord), c'est machiavélique.

Je pense qu'il a quand même une grande majorité des Montréalais qui sont fatigués d'elle. C'est le temps de changer d'administration en 2021 et au plus sacrant.
