jesseps
So what they doing at Lionel Groulx? Putting in an elevator or something? Hopefully they also will change the name. Seeing the dude was an anti-semite, goes to show how the STM operates.

They're not going to change the name. The only way that they will change the name is if they change the name of that street. All the metro stations correspond with street names that help guide people. Out the many proposals that STM received for name changes since they started the metros, the only 2 stations that had name changes was Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke and Guy-Concordia (which only added the name of the university). Anyway, it would be nice if all metro stations had elevators, but for some I can see that it would be difficult to construct.
Administrator mtlurb Posted April 10, 2008 Administrator Share Posted April 10, 2008 Pretty much everyone in the western hemisphere was antisemite during that time frame, are we gonna rename everything? No.

Dude, 4 stations have seen name changes. Berri-de Montigny was renamed Berri-UQAM, Ile-Ste-Helene was renamed Jean-Drapeau.
Atze
