Montréal a un sérieux retard face a Vancouver e Toronto en ce qui concerne les innombrables terrains de stationnement, mais il faut avouer que depuis les 3-4 dernières années ont a fait d'immenses progrès dans la bonne direction.

As far as I'm concern, you still have to park these self driving cars - they don't just vanish once you're downtown...

true but the prediction is there will be less cars on the road and those on the road will be transporting people (like a UBER) so less car ownership, less need for parking, less need to provide for for public transit and less need for taxis. Ok this won't likely happen in the next 20 years but it's probably heading that way if total self driving cars are successful.

 

Btw. Does anyone know if Montreal has already started making long term plans for this type of technology? Any testing to be done in out region?
