    It's only the edge of downtown because everything around it has to be built-up.... encore une fois, vision long terme! Re: the Eiffel tower, that's your reaction in 2018 but I suspect it would have been much different in 1889 haha If you want extreme examples: Kingdom Tower and the Burj Khalifa

    Not that we should but because they do it, we know that it can work. The proof is already there with many, many examples. In my opinion, the height cutoff should start at Saint-Jacques. I would absolutely not accept tall skyscrapers anywhere, but Peel and St-Antoine/St-Jacques is a great area to put one up. En plus, you're a bit further down the hill so the 210m won't have as much of an impact as it would on Rene-Levesque. The Eiffel Tower was very out of place and everyone hated it when it was built... c'est important d'avoir une vision long terme!

    The point is, Terrases Windsor should have never been built. Why deprive ourselves of 210m tower because of that abomination??? Plenty of areas in NYC, Toronto, Chicago where it goes from 210 to 50

    Difficile d'installer des serres de toit after the fact car la structure existante n'a pas été concue pour les charges importantes qui viennent avec (notamment l'installation des bacs à terre). Great idea though for future developments

    Beaucoup plus couteux d'excaver en hiver (déneigement du site, sortir et chauffée sol gellée, assechment excavations, frais de transport en période de gel et dégel etc.) Ils ont probablement mis le projet << sur glace >> pour l'hiver

    Ca fait déjà un p'tit bout que les soumissions révisées ont été déposées. L' annonce est toujours prévue pour mi-février mais même les soumissionaires ne sont pas au courant de la date exacte.
