internationalx Posté(e) 10 août 2008 Partager Posté(e) 10 août 2008 Sounds good. Now let's deliver. Montreal needs giant museums of exceptional architecture filled with important works if it is going to stomp on Toronto's feeling of entitlement when it comes to culture. Let them be the Frankfurt of Canada. Let us be the Berlin of Canada. Citer Lien vers le commentaire Partager sur d’autres sites

We already have pretty good museums The MBA, the MAC, Pointe à Callière and a few others (like the Redpath Museum that I enjoyed very much). We would need a Natural History Museum, science museums and maybe a train museum (Montreal was a very important train city). I really envy the Royal Ontario Museum... I know about le Centre des sciences de Montréal (i have seen Le Monde du corps last year), but that centre is changing from "hard" sciences to social sciences: http://www.cyberpresse.ca/article/20070907/CPSCIENCES/70907143/1020/CPSCIENCES But what I would really like to see is a natural history museum. IngoDeFFM Posté(e) 12 août 2008 Partager Posté(e) 12 août 2008 I really see Montréal as the Berlin of Canda in a way: Economic difficulties, cheap rents, lot's of creative energy and great night life. Speaking of musuems, I think what Montreal would suit nice would be a design museum with an avangarde architeture, by Zaha Hadid or the like. This would be a good showcase of MTL as "world design city" and a pretty unique thing in the world as well. Citer Lien vers le commentaire Partager sur d’autres sites
