C'est que tout le monde souhaite sauf que ce projet (comme tout ceux de 200m actuellement en construction) avait déjà été présenté à la Ville il y a plus de trois ans, tout juste avant l'adoption du 3 X VAIN en 2021. D'autres raisons retardent donc une annonce officielle du promoteur quant à une concrète mise en chantier.

Ceci dit, le compteur va malheureusement continuer de tourner pour un bon moment car une source très crédible concernant l'avenir du South Block nous a très récemment écrit ça :

Taxes aside, Quebec and Montreal's real estate market (like everything else here) is a Monopoly/Oligopoly of Quebec companies. Too many headaches for major international players.

 

That CAN change, but there's too much lobbying/corruption/kickbacks and red tape in place.

That's what I heard as well...

Just wish we had height variety (upwards, of course) on these lots. It will look weird having 200M towers x6 all clustered together, especially considering theoretically, 217 metres can be built here and it will still be the same height as the "mountain"

Wrong. C'est 200m max quel que soit le lieu du lot par rapport au niveau de la mer car la plus basse des deux données l'emporte toujours sur la plus haute :

Par contre tu as tout a fait raison pour ce futur cluster d'une dizaine d'environ 200m (South Block X 3, 1000, 900 S-J, 900 S-A, OACI X 2, BN, TDLB, VSLP), ça sera tout aussi ridicule, voire même plus que la clôture de 120m sur R-L. Tout ça à cause d'un règlement qui date d'environ 40 ans et qui est tout à fait anachronique et désuet par rapport aux nouvelles réalités actuelles.

The article of this morning in La Presse state that two towers on the west side was not feasible because of the underground Highway Ville-Marie.

Is It True?
