  2. The more stations they have bunched up at the end of each branch, the more people they will get and compel to travel longer distances, and in so doing, they’ll make more money from ARTM (72¢/pax/km).
  3. Le système avait déjà 50 ans. La ligne verte est principalement desservie par les trains MR-73. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  4. Honestly that is the audacity this city needs. 🤞🏼
  5. It’s truly unbelievable now. We’re throwing billions at a tunnel-bridge downstream that will serve 30,000 cars per day, but letting our Métro rot. Either that or we subcontracted the Métro out to Rideau Transit Group?
  6. Wow, very nice, @GGing!
  7. Some quick snaps while in traffic, but the Guay guys sont en train de démanteler LG-1 Anne à la culée avant la station Anse-à-l’Orme.
  8. It’s ok, you’ll be too distracted by the ugly guardrails to notice the ugly catenary system. They’re up most of the way from about Charles-E.-Frosst to Houde in Kirkland. They basically look like rented scaffolding.
  9. Part of Curitiba, Brazil’s successful, rapid growth was a regulation that zones its tallest buildings to be erected along established transit corridors — the wildly successful BRT system.
  10. Bienvenue à l’action, @TomC!
  11. There really can be limits to heritage preservation…
  12. Bingo! The luxury-goods shoppers will not take public transit, while indoor waterpark users won’t be shopping in the luxury/goods boutiques. It just sounds like such a disaster in the making.
  13. Isn’t that just segments of the existing crane so it can go higher?
  14. The “Boss” is already dominated by the Oratory, some 30 metres taller than the summit. A slender tower at the centre of downtown rising to ±270 metres wouldn’t eclipse the mountain in any way, shape or form. And yet the regulation is barely 30 years old.
  15. I think they didn’t finish writing that page; there’s a doubling of the info about Anne being parked at the Des Sources site, but nothing about how she’ll get to Roxboro. The English version hasn’t been posted yet.
  16. I don’t remember there being a barrage of signals affixed to the old porticos, so I’m wondering why the new standards over the mainline rails are so huge.
