    I’ve said this and been shot down. Not just the screeching, even just the general noise. It’s normal, but it’s loud.     GBL has nothing to do with the proposed stadium or Bridge-Mill; it was a throw-in after Infra backed out of a technically-infeasible station under the Peel basin that would’ve served both GFT and The Point.

    It also shows just how stupid close GBL station will be to Centrale. This isn’t the Métro de Paris, it’s a regional express.

    Exactly. C'est un design médiocre. Si l'on essaie de dire que la rue n'est pas assez large pour avoir installé des infrastructures adéquates pouvant accueillir les usagers arrivant aux stations des deux sens, ben, le mauvais corridor a été choisi pour le busway.

    I will keep holding my breath until we see the actual tower starting to rise. For all we know, they could weather-protect the columns and anchoring points on top of the podium, à la Livmore 2.

    🤦🏻‍♂️Yes I’m aware. @budgebandit has inside knowledge of Centre RioCan’s progress. It’s in Kirkland, and the original proposal was 5000 units and multiple high rises (20+ storeys). That’s already been downplayed once, but no news in over a year. I’d put good money on Broccolini and RioCan abandoning the plans if they have to deal with more Kirkland NIMBYism.
