  1. Let's hope it's as high end as the Victoria was intended to be
  2. I have not seen any news or advertisement regarding the sale of the condos. I wonder if they are doing it privately, or waiting to being sales...
  3. It seems odd that the city would approve a project like this. Given the higher density projects currently in construction in this area, it would seem that taking advantage of the height limits (and earning more tax revenue in the long run) would be wiser
  4. Looks like 2 more bland grey towers, in addition to the 6 that will be built on the site of the Children's...
  5. Totally disagree with you. I think once both towers are complete, it will look amazing. It already makes the building stand out a lot when seen from a distance. Very unique and really interesting*
  6. According to the Gazette, a sink hole developed behind the Roccabella recently due to water infiltration*
  7. I agree, but I think that if the immediate area around YOO begins to develop with more modern (and less yellow brick) buildings, this one will actually start to look nicer and stand out more. It's not a bold design but there is merit in the simplicity and clean lines (again, as long as they aren't constructed with yellow brick)
  8. WOW They might as well have glued the two buildings together *
  9. Which project is that? I'd imagine you're referring to the lot where the multi-level parking garage is now
  10. What a great use of a small piece of land! I love the large square windows and sleek lines. Great addition to the Bleury as it undergoes some nice changes. It also goes to show how much nicer the Mount Stephen Hotel could have been if they hadn't used those ridiculous little windows.*
  11. Le bureau de ventes a été déplacé, et ils creusaient aujourd'hui là où ça a été*
  12. I think the wait between TDC2 and 3 will be shorted than from TDC 1 to 2, given both the quick sales and that the height limits have been changed. It will be interesting to see what CF chooses to do next, but I'd also be surprised if it were 3 years down the line before they go forward with the next phases.*
  13. La tour est 100% vendue, selon un courriel reçu ce matin*
  14. I had high hopes for this one - very disappointed that they did not use the red and white brick as well.
  15. I was implying that they tear it down and replacing it with something significantly higher!
  16. I wonder if any of the developers in this area are eyeing the lot just west of YUL for development in the near future. Would be great if they tore down that motel espresso in the background as well.*
  17. Eventually that lot will get built up. Hopefully our patience will translate into an even better project.*
  18. Their first project has been successful so far, hopefully they can repeat that success!
  19. Very good point. As exciting as the new RVH campus would be, it seems difficult to justify it when the state of the current campus is in such poor shape. I always found it strange that McGill occupied so many homes and random buildings around the city rather than consolidating these offices into one location. Many of these homes, especially the ones one Peel and Pine, could potentially be converted into great office spaces for smaller companies and startups.*
  20. I know that they are potential stations - I'm just surprised that they didn't make the "confirmed" list right away. Didn't realize that - thanks!
  21. I'm surprised that those two locations are considered potential stations rather than confirmed locations, given their intersection with two metro lines. I'm also surprised that neither Bridge Wellington/Du Havre are confirmed. It seems like having at least one of those would be highly beneficial given the influx of people to Griffintown/Sud Ouest and the lack of a metro line down there.
  22. Any thoughts on the stations at Du Havre and Bridge Wellington? I think these could be incredibly important as well for Griffintown seeing that there is no metro station nearby.
  23. Very excited for this one! I'd like to see more high-end projects in the area mixed in with the "affordable" buildings that are going up. It'd be nice to have some variety and less generic looking buildings
  24. Totally agree with that last statement - this project will add even more to the area! And I'm really happy to see that ugly part of Bleury cleaned up
  25. I'll stand by waiting for a pepine when you start contributing valuable thoughts to this forum. And on that note, my rambling isn't any more random than the thousands of replies you have posted on every single thread remarking how nothing can meet your architectural standard. So for everyone else interested in this project who is happy to receive some positive news, I'll continue providing updates as I receive them.
