My favourite element of the 1968 reno was the hockey stick shaped escalators. It would be great if they could be re-integrated into the renovated Forum:

C’est-à-dire que lorsque les Jays recevront la visite des Brewers au printemps prochain, on aimerait que le stade respecte les standards établis par la ligue. Lorsque les Jays ont débuté l’aventure des matchs préparatoires au Stade olympique en 2014, plusieurs aspects de l’aire de jeu avaient besoin d’amélioration. Le Baseball majeur et l’Association des joueurs ont fait plusieurs recommandations. Chaque année, la RIO a amélioré quelques éléments. Entre autres, on demandait de modifier les clôtures du champ extérieur, d'améliorer la piste d’avertissement, de déplacer l’enclos de relève, de rendre le club du receveur derrière le marbre plus sécuritaire et d'agrandir l’écran protecteur. Mais pour 2019, on espère du côté de la MLB que toutes les demandes originales soient réglées, dans le but d’être aux standards des matchs de la saison régulière, advenant un besoin immédiat à ce niveau dès 2020, selon notre source. Seul le vieil écran géant ferait exception aux demandes.

    Je ne sais pas, mais je ne crois pas que le MTQ pourrait imposer une limite de vitesse sur un pont appartenant au gouvernement fédéral. En fait, il y a une pancarte bleue sur la 15 sud qui dit « limite MTQ » lorsqu’on traverse en « territoire fédéral » pour embarquer sur (l’ancien) pont Champlain. C’est d’ailleurs après cette pancarte que toutes les pancartes routières deviennent bilingues jusqu’à ce qu’on se rend sur la rive sud.

    The least expensive option was to build a suspension bridge. Because of the size and depth of the span, and the complexity of the geography (the collector sewer and multiple spans of highway below), there was no "simple functional bridge" option. The alternative would have been some creative engineering like the old bridge, which was complex to construct and impossible to maintain. The old bridge looked like this: It was also ugly (in my opinion, though I understand some people appreciated it). The only aesthetic addition to the suspension brirge was to add about 10m to the top of the spire, a decision I support 100%.

    It is from yesterday, but it will be at least a month before the rest of the span over the Seaway is complete. The voussoirs need to be installed slowly and progressively as the cables are installed in the tower. This is the most technically complex part of the bridge, and the only part of the bridge that is a true "suspension" bridge. The machine just to the right of the red circle installs the voussoirs (each a couple of metres long) by suspending them over top of the already attached part of the bridge. Because the seaway is staying open during the construction of the bridge, they don't have the option of supporting it by scaffolding like they did on the north side of the tower (right side in the photo).

Plutôt, l’article cite une baisse d’utilisation de la flotte de 3 %, le fait que 21,1 % des autobus sont hors service pour des réparations et une augmentation d’utilisation du métro. D’ailleurs, l’article mentionne que malgré la baisse d’utilisation des autobus, pendant cette même période, l’achalande totale du réseau STM a grimpé par 4,25 % : https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/stm-bus-ridership-has-declined-by-more-than-13-per-cent-over-5-years

    They expanded that side walk on the east side by about double and eliminated the one on the west side completely. Lucien-L'Allier will have an entirely different look when the work is finished.
