I beg to differ. Cité du Multimédia est rendu mon quartier préféré à Montréal.

Mélange du vieux et du neuf, des petites rues animées et pas toujours parallèles, une densité parfaite, un parfait exemple d’un quartier mixed use.

Tu peux ne pas être sensible aux références culturelles des bâtisseurs, les Cris du Québec, mais ça c'est ton problème. Personnellement je suis fier de cet investissement et de cette architecture originale qui laissera sa marque au centre-ville. En même temps cette communauté montre qu'elle sait bien gérer ses placements issus des ententes signées entre le Québec, Hydro-Q et les autochtones du nord de la province, dont on tire aujourd'hui une bonne partie de notre énergie hydroélectrique. Toutes ces nations sont par ailleurs un plus pour ce pays et contribuent à nous enrichir culturellement. Ils sont donc bienvenus dans la métropole où je souhaite que leur présence se démarque davantage par d'autres immeubles distinctifs, afin de contribuer à rehausser la qualité architecturale générale de la ville.

On the contrary I love the betterment of minority rights in this province. The silver lining of this project is the Cree participation. I love that they are stepping back up to the lands that were snatched from them. What I am criticizing is the poor architecture. The end.

This is (in part) an investment by the collective of the Cree Nation of Quebec, a wise diversification of their (investment) portofolio.  They could have gone (and can still go) anywhere else, e.g. Toronto, New York City and London, etc.  So welcome it for what it is.  

Regarding your point about "...stepping back up to the lands that were snatched from them", I must note (and I am certain) that the Crees of Quebec do not in any way claim that Montreal, and the whole of southern Quebec for that matter, was part of their traditional territory--  Eeyou Istchee.  They invest in Montreal because they believe it is a good place to invest.  The fact that Montreal is located in the Province of Quebec, with which they concluded a landmark agreement, contributes to the deliberately symbolic value of their involvement. 

And let me add a final comment which has a broader application (not specific to the Odea project and the Crees): I personnaly reject the inclusion of  Aboriginal people into the grab bag of "minorities", as if they were just one of many sharing the same issues.  And I maintain a firm distinction between First Nations, Métis and Inuit: they have distinct histories, and face distinct challenges, including but not limited to the defense of their rights.

Effectivement il faut faire une distinction claire entre les peuples fondateurs et les minorités. Les autochtones ne sont pas des minorités, elles sont des nations à part entière que nous devons reconnaitre comme étant les premiers occupants de ce pays. L'Histoire à voulu que les nations européennes s'approprient un territoire déjà occupé et en prennent le contrôle par le nombre. On connait la suite.

On ne réécrira pas l'histoire, mais on peut tenter sincèrement d'en corriger aujourd'hui les pires erreurs. Il s'agit de reconnaitre les droits inaliénables de ces nations et leur donner les moyens de répondre à leurs propres besoins, en favorisant notamment la gouvernance de leur territoire, leur développement économique et culturelle. Il s'agit aussi de cohabiter en bonne intelligence, partager l'usage des richesses naturelles, en les voyant comme des partenaires égaux détenteurs de droits ancestraux.
