    I see 15 to 20 architects every week in Montréal, it is just crazy what I have seen lately, 2 propositions for BN, both remarquable, a sketch for the true icône next door, another 62 storey mixed use not Brocco , a 20 storey student résidence Griffintown, a hugh projet mixed use 4035 Saint-Ambroise using up the parking lots on all sides a new building for a high tech company, looking at the size it is a major expansion(I got a contract for this one so it's a done deal- détails coming from those concerned shortly .4 important lots south DT could be changing hands immenate, offer conditional acceptance by City of project, 32-26-20-16-16, considering the last two are social housing, should pass.

    Oui déjà 5 millards de projets de construction a côté des stations qui sont déjà annoncé et beaucoup plus de annoncés pour Montréal et le Quebec après le règlement de L'ANEA . Montréal a retrouvé sont élan grâce à la complicité de sont mosaïque culturel ,lingustique,universitaire et notre qualité de vie. Oui nous sommes unique en Amérique ,nous ensemble ont a fait viree notre ville 360 degrés de sont marasme de 40 ans,nous pouvons tous nous félicite de notre avance majeur.La ville le plus bilingue et trilingue de L'Amérique et bientôt le plus avant-gardiste sur plusieurs niveaux.

    I always like to compare with Massachusetts , the economy looks very similar . Many good universities .Given the fact that they have a great PIB , good job perspectives & good universities they still lost between July 2014 & July 2015(last statistiques) 21,805 residents to domestic migration . The state has been fighting domestic migration since 10 years. The whole US north east has the same problem of east west migration.

    Imagine how much some states are willing to give to get this project. The state of Wisconsin will be approving this week a 2.85 billion cash payment to get Foxconn's new flat screen plant creating 13,000 jobs. That means we are looking at 8 to 10 billion in handouts for a 50,000 job company. It's becoming ridiculous. Look what Boston gave to get GE. There is no more limit.

    La ont dit n'importe quoi . Citions en exemple Investissement PSP . 450 de leur 600 employees sont a Montréal et géré les fonds pensions de la GRC et les forces de reserve avec un actif de 117 milliard de dollars . Ces le fonds de pension qui a le meilleur rendement au Canada et celui qui grossit le plus vite grace a sont équipe en place a Montréal. Le BIC devrait ce trouve dans une ville bilingue , pour desservir tous les Canadiens(iennes) dans leur langue. Montréal a les ressources necessaire pour ce bureau . Par contre, si le gouvernement choisie Toronto ou toute autre vile , ca seras une decision purement politique pour conserve les votes acquise . Pour terminer je crois nos chances sont égale avec Toronto pour ce bureau.

    Just cannot explain why anglo newspapers do not use the latest figures available to do articles about Montréal or Québec . Either there lazy or biais . Unemployment rate latest figures December , per city Montréal 7.0 %, Toronto 6.9%, Calgary 10.5% , Vancouver 5.2% Toronto has almost double the unemployment rate among the 18 to 25 as per Montréal. Each city has it's good points and bad points. I am not saying the article is 100% bad , just put the updated figures . I do not care about figures from 4 or5 years ago, what is going on NOW. As for the rest the statistics or so out dated , no comment . Keep up the doom and gloom THE Gazette , understand more where the negative is coming from. Happy New Years to all on this forum , nice to participate and share views , great to see that most have seen changes in Montréal in the last two years . Would have enjoyed seeing the Gazette show the more positive things that are going on, especially what is going on in this city with all the new technologies. 2017 will be an incredible cru for this city and it's region.

    I was at the future technologies convention in San Francisco this month , Silicon Valley and Montréal will become twin sisters , Montréal is on a high , nothing will stop it on the short run because it has been planned by many on a long period of time . 5 to 6 billion within the next two years in IT technololgy for Montréal Universities must keep up the pace . Montréal est sur ca relance . croire et voire ces notre devoir a tous . L'education et tenir la cadence ces notre chance de faire notre place parmi les grandes villes du monde . Faut surtout pas manquée cette relance qui ferais de nous tous et ca a tout les niveaux les gagnants de demain.
