There is no outside parking from what I saw.  All the parking signs lead you to the interior space.

That being said, the number of people coming from the Metro entrance was INSANE.

My wife and I went today. The mall itself has nothing luxurious about it; cheap flooring material, glass canopy not even trying to be anything than flat glass panes sitting on h-beams. 
Even the downtown malls have a more upscale feel to them (except for the stores obviously). 
Hopefully the remaining retail, outdoor piazza, offices, and residential portions are going to enhance the experience. If there's going to be 5,000 housing units, it would certainly make sense to have a huge grocery store somewhere in there as well.

Connectivity to the Metro is great but wouldn't it have been possible to have it covered all the way? I guess Montreal has yet to sort-out how to handle partnerships with transit authorities to go the last mile, as it is done in Asia (my experience being Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, and Bangkok, where there's covered transit-mall connection, and they do not have Canadian winters!).

Below; we were surprised that there wasn't much done with that open space.

All-in-all, once and if RoyalMount truly becomes an integrated city-in-a-city, it is going to be a step forward for Montreal in terms of providing an alternative to the suburbs that is drastically different than what is currently available.

It's just that there were such superlatives being used to promote the project that anyone with some experience with luxury malls is bound to be a bit disappointed.

I was also wondering about that "Second largest in Canada" branding. They are either counting all the unfinished residential as part of the project (false advertising) or they are saying "Second largest luxury mall" and doing some weird definition of luxury. 

In either case, it's really not that big. I'm from Winnipeg and even our Polo Park mall is bigger lol

1) West Edmonton Mall : 3,800,000 sq. ft.

32) Polo Park Mall : 928,278 sq. ft.

45) RoyalMount : 800, 000 sq. ft.

Passed by on the weekend. Better than i had expected. Should have delayed launch until more luxury brands ready to open.

It is a Toronto way of doing things...  In the Toronto news, they always say "Canada's busiest highway" when talking about the 401, or "Canada's busiest airport" while talking about Pearson Airport, or "Canada suckiest team" when talking about the Maple Leafs (ok, they dont say the last one, but we can all agree that they should...)
