    I hate to admit it but I'm thinking of moving off the island. Being close to a metro station was a priority for over 15 years. Now it's completely meaningless and probably won't be relevant until my kids go to college.

    @Nameless_1 or any other moderator. The rental project is now called Céleste and has a website, along with a render: https://louerceleste.com/ I believe this render is from Gagné street. It's possible the George street project will be under a different name, or at least a different phase.

    Actually I would LOVE to see pictures from that construction. The most I could find is this blurb (no pictures). How the heck did they do it?

    I was on a 16th floor for many years and you certainly can hear cars, ambulances and even loud idiots at 3AM.

    I could never find much information about the new Carlton hotel. When was it demolished and why? I think I read it was the tallest building in Montreal at some point. Or the first with an elevator. Something like that.

    If this project wraps around to Notre-Dame, why is the address listed as St-Francois-Xavier? Wouldn't it make more sense to have it on Notre-Dame? Is there possibly a different project on the Notre-Dame side?

    Thanks for the info guys. It could have been like Square Cabot with a long hallway to the hospital and then the metro. Either way I'm glad St-Antoine is finally back to four lanes between Gosford and Berri!!!

    Say goodbye to the park? That second render shows the building extending all the way to St-Jean. (google street view) Does this building wrap around to Notre-Dame as well?

    Sorry no pictures, but man it's ugly. Some inverted blue Ls, black and white panels. Even the traffic cam doesn't want to show this horror.

    That Jean Coutu moved to the Metro and the clinic moved near the IGA on Champlain. So yeah it's definitely an empty lot now.

    Absolutely. In fact just from the Walmart parking lot you can see the "north" and "south" face of the mountain (oratoire, UdeM, MGH, 1000 DLG, etc) It's pretty awesome.

Des résidants du sud-ouest de Montréal sont mécontents que l’aménagement de leur rue ne corresponde pas à ce qui avait été présenté lors de l’annonce du projet de réfection de l’échangeur Turcot.
