Je ne suis pas d’accord. S'il n'y a que six trains entre 6h00 et 9h00 et pas d’autres avant 11h15, et que vous devez vous rendre du point A au point B, vous prendrez l'un de ces six trains. Mais s'il y a désormais des trains dans les deux sens toutes les 15 minutes de 5h du matin à minuit, cela devient un service «show-up-and-go» de type RER, et de nombreux usagers ne se sentiront pas contraints d'avoir à attraper un des dernier trains des heures de pointe. Mais enfin, personne ici ne suggère de diminuer la capacité total aux heures de pointe; au contraire, au lieu de ne courir que six trains le matin avec de la place pour, disons, 1500 passagers chaque, on mettra une vingtaine de rames d’UME entre 5h et 10h d’une capacité de 750 chaque… alors…
