    If I had to guess why it took so long, based on the history of all travaux in Montreal, this pillar was built on top of a collector-sewer or a high-pressure aqueduct, and once construction started they found that the pipe was in a worse condition than they expect, so they had to fix that first, then build the pillar.

    That makes no sense from a fleet management perspective. Why would they want to have two different sets everything. Parts, mechanics, facilities. Even if the two lines don't connect, having the same design is a benefit on almost every front. The way that the CDPQI pinches pennies, I would be flabbergasted if they were different trains.

    You can see it from the highway. Last time I passed by in May they were finishing the exterior walls

    From the second picture it looks like only de Maisonneuve will be closed. IMO, if they close this section on De Maisonneuve, they should close it from Clark to J-M as well.
