The GWL missive only said "work" will begin in late September, while the "well-placed source" only said "sleevage [sic]" will probably begin in mid-October. "Sleeving" is the penetration of the existing slabs for running plumbing and cables, part of the necessary preparation of the weatherproofed rooftop (podium) to be built upon. Just because they didn't toss a crane up there on September 25th doesn't mean work isn't fully underway.

But anybody who tries to tell me that CTrain "doesn't work" is just repeating right-wing gibberish. For a "light rail" system with just 45 stations, it is among the top ten busiest rapid transit systems in Canada and the US, this year averaging 250,000 daily boardings (or roughly double the projected boardings of our 67-km REM).

Metropolis vehicles can run at 120+ km/h, ours were advertised as running 100 over the bridge and in the West Island. We'll see. The MR-90s also had a 120+ design speed and regularly ran at 100+, with vigorous acceleration to match.
