Bingo. REM is imperfect. It absolutely excites me that the West Island will soon have rail rapid transit, but let's not be blind to the system's many imperfections and compromises. The three main underground stations may some day prove to be inadequate as well, but that's only conjecture.
On the other hand, like the CDPQi proposal for "REM-B," parts of REM are improper, ie: the wrong mode for the areas served (west of Bois-Franc, essentially). I get why they did it, and they benefitted from an alignment of the planets to save billions on rights of way and infrastructure, so Île-Bigras is getting a metro station.
I mean, using exo6 numbers from prior to the cessation of service, Roxboro-Pierrefonds station alone would generate $23 million a year for the Caisse. I think more passengers will use the Pierrefonds-Roxboro REM station than the exo station. So I get it.
