C’est une ville très banale et pour la plupart très laide, qui essaie tellement avec pitié d’imiter NYC. Elle n’a pas pu developer son propre identité. Meme les quartiers les plus trendy (Ossington, Queen West, King West, Kensington) rappellent les quartiers normaux de Montréal.
And yeah, agreed, Toronto is nowhere in the same as league as Montreal when it comes to great architecture at street level, public squares and spaces, coverage and efficiency of public transit, affordability, walkable neighbourhoods and general lifestyle.
There are a lot of good sides to Toronto, but enough with the BS that it’s better than Montreal. It has an American mentality, and if that is someone’s cup of tea, fine. But at least Montreal knows what it is, proud of it, and not trying to imitate anything else.
