  1. Ils commenceront quand le parc sera fini pour que les camions abîment les arbres et le pavage. Voyons!
  2. The area is very upsetting. Why REM did not open/build Bernard Landry station is beyond me. Does CPDQ own PVM? They want more traffic to inflate that empty space? I think the REM will suffer from Gare Centrale.
  3. Walked thru it on my way to REM. It is as empty and sterile as a place Bonaventure. we need a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s in the area!,

    Édifice Bell Beaver Hall

A skinny that would extend the height of the top tiers of the tower would be amazing living space. Small floor plates. Superrall and all glass. Top it with the current roof.
  5. First day - post breakdown report. The ride and the view are fabulous. Montreal shines. Giving me hope that people will take pride in our city and all that should come with it. However, The wayfinding (signage) is horrible. Confusing and much too small. Montreal's Grand Central (I'm aware this is the CN's responsibility) could have done something to brighten up the cavernous hall, the food court, and the passageways leading in and out. Having to walk to Central Station will be a deterrent - quickly - they need to open up the both the McGill and the Griffintown stations. The choice of materials is somewhat similar to a 'B' Category Mall when they decide to renovate. The black tiles on Gare Central's walls are a lost opportunity: Drab - Dark - Depressing. If Montreal is meant to be a "Design City," - it needs to look elsewhere other than Dépot Céramique. I have an OPUS card. I went to Brossard from Montreal. No problem. On my way back - the card was declined. I need to get a new card - not rechargeable at the station - nor on the quai at the Grand Central station. You have to go up to the main floor - and find where it is that you are meant to get a new card which allows for A and B. It's a logistics nightmare in the age of Apps and Technology. Really? Special recommendation: The 747 Bus should arrive directly to Grand Central and avoid Lionel-Groulx as the only connection.
  6. Valerie Plante has to go
  7. They might as well have built this horrible building in the heart of Old Montreal. Horrid architecture. I can't believe the city approved it.
  8. Ste-Catherine (Le nouveau look).
  9. Welcome to Old Montréal This is kitty-corner from Olives & Gourmando. St-Pierre between St-Paul & Place d'Youville. The grease accumulation and continuous garbage dump that is maintained by Le Butterfly restaurant. Really disgusting to have our city be represented this way. Can we start a section where we shame businesses and property owners - not to mention the City - perhaps our voices could make a change. What is truly sad - is that this is becoming more and more common in Old Montreal - and throughout the city.
  10. Paving the street would help

    Incendies à Montréal

    Montreal is burning.
  12. This project is horrible. Worst that it is in Old Montreal. Looks like a bad 50’s police station in Newark.
  13. Another lacklustre bldg at the entrance of Montreal. Something that would be nothing more than filler in any other city. Ville de design mon œil
  14. If only they had the intelligence to create such a dynamic architectural statement to increase the value of their own real estate... alas, this is Montreal cheapette
  15. Check out the diversity and ingenuous designs of New York’s street terraces….
  16. Bloc communiste This is so ugly Reminds me of the worst building in old Montreal, on the far east side of Notre Dame
  17. I like the simplicity However, this is too easy... Montreal’s Cockring
  18. Let's crumple a piece of paper and recreate it with glass and steel. The worst example of "Look At Me" architecture. There is such a beautiful variety of buildings on Paper Hill. This thing misses.
