Also for political resons, as they will receive a ton of pressure to stay and keep the jobs in the u.s. As for Hyperloop, it's a pipe dream as the technology to implement it between two distant cities like Montreal and Toronto won't be there for another 25 years.

Most states/cities are probably looking to sell their sold to attract Amazon. It is nice to see Canadian cities trying to attract a large company. It will like the Hunger Games. Djentmaster001 Posté(e) 24 septembre 2017 Partager Posté(e) 24 septembre 2017 It's really not surprising, I even said from day 1 that it's most likely Boston getting it and it's understandable why they're front-runners. fmfranck Posté(e) 24 septembre 2017 Partager Posté(e) 24 septembre 2017 (modifié) Il y a 3 heures, _mtler_ a dit : Amazon executives want Boston. Not all of them. De l'article en question: Citation Several senior Amazon.com Inc. executives advocate putting a second headquarters in Boston, according to a person briefed on the matter. Last week, Amazon unveiled plans to open a new base and invited states and local governments to submit proposals. While other cities may ultimately win out, Boston is being considered for its proximity to Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an airport with nonstop flights to Seattle and Washington, D.C., and a lower cost of living than many other big cities, said the person, who requested anonymity to discuss an internal matter. Amazon said every city remains “on an equal playing field.” ... A few years ago, Amazon executives discussed building a second headquarters in Toronto because two decades of rapid growth had left the company feeling constrained in Seattle. But global consumer chief Jeff Wilke objected and said the new location should be in the U.S., the person said.
