Je regarde l’hôpital Royal-Victoria et me je me demande vraiment ce qu'ils vont faire avec ce merveilleux édifices suite à son déménagement.

Je ne crois pas. J'avais vu un reportage (ou peut être lu dans un article de journal) disant que le bâtiment du Royal Victoria avait donné comme hôpital à condition que ce bâtiment demeure un édifice public. Si le gouvernement ne voulait plus de l'édifice, il devrait le donner aux héritiers du donateurs. Les héritiers seraient très heureux de récupérer l'édifice (où ils pouirraient y aménager des condos). Je pense que l'idéal serait que McGill reprenne l'hôpital pour y aménager des chambres pour étudiants ou des locaux pour l'université.

 

Malheureusement, je ne me souviens plus où exactement j'avais eu cette information.

I have heard from sometimes reliable sources that Quebec will transfer the entire Royal Victoria Hospital complex, at no cost, to McGill and the Neuro. All McGill will have to do is come up with $350 million to restore and renovate it---piece of cake. I also heard that some of the bland 1950's additions to the RVH will be demolished as a gesture to the mountain NIMBY's, to be replaced eventually with new low rise buildings that will not be visible when looking at the mountain.

Je n'ai jamais été fan des raboudinages qui ont été faits à nos hôpitaux et autres immeubles historiques. L'Hôtel Dieu est aussi un bel exemple de raboudinages horribles qui dénaturent l'ensemble historique.

 

Alors bonne nouvelle donc. McGill au Royal Vic, on ne pouvait demander mieux.
