  1. Something new came up in NDG though it doesn't look approved. The red brick on the right side is already there but the faded image on the left was the parking lot of the redbrick building. https://www.joerullier.com/listing/6332-sherbrooke-west-street-montreal-qc/ Pretty generic but plugs a hole.
  2. A new (or rather a replacement) building in NDG. Noting so far on line as to whether is is to be condos or apartments. Previously it was reasonably priced apartments, then was empty for two years then demolished. Literally one block from Vendome Metro so ideal location.

    4360 Grand N.D.G.

Interesting fusion of new and old with some nice brickwork to give it more character.
  4. Back in the eighties there was a lot of free dance concerts during the summer. I saw Margie Gillis dance there with her brother before he died of AIDS.
  5. Put in some windows and call it done.
  6. It's a shame we lost that building.
  7. A series of small industrial buildings (3) were razed on de Maisonneuve Ouest recently and the areas are now covered with promos for "Grâce condominiums https://www.montrealguidecondo.ca/en/grace-condominiums/23706/) between Melrose and Clifton. It is advertised as three phases, each with three stories for a total of 116 units. This has been a trend on de Maisonneuve Ouest since the building of the MUHC and has improves the feel of that stretch of the street although you can't change the fact that they are looking onto the tracks for the Vaudreuil–Hudson Exo line.
  8. A new, unadvertised development in a vacant lot on Durocher in McGill ghetto. I used to rent nearby and it always seemed a waste of space. No mention of it online so far. Before After
  9. More work being done: I saw new vents and shiny new air ducts on the roof (no pictures).
  10. "This 177-room project is located at the foot of the Jacques Cartier Bridge" !?! That's a pretty big foot.
  11. Interesting design but seems a strange fit for the neighbourhood.
  12. Seems a waste to build such a small project so close to a Metro terminus.
  13. Reminds me of "Handshake apartments" in China. https://misfitsarchitecture.com/2021/05/16/the-handshake-apartment/
  14. Who do we thank for leaving the mural across the street visible?
  15. I'm not sure I follow you; what do you mean?
  16. Six to eight stories may be all it takes: look to Haussmann's Paris.
