Nous travaillons pour conclure la transaction de vente à la fin du deuxième trimestre de 2019 et nous vous communiquerons de plus amples détails lorsque celle-ci sera conclue. » Réal Bouclin, président de groupe Sélection, a rapidement transmis la bonne nouvelle à ses employés. « Molson Coors nous a indiqué que parmi les différents soumissionnaires, elle préférait la proposition de notre groupe. Nous sommes très fiers d'avoir accédé à cette étape cruciale du processus pour lequel nous avons préparé un dossier solide qui respecte le caractère patrimonial de ce site si important pour les Montréalais. » Selon nos informations, Groupe Sélection, un promoteur spécialisé dans les résidences pour personnes âgées et milieux de vie intergénérationnels fait équipe avec Montoni et First Capital. Molson rappelle dans son message aux employés l'importance de l'aspect patrimonial. « L'équipe du projet a fait un travail remarquable pour s'assurer que l'acheteur préférentiel respecte la vision de Molson sur le plan de l'héritage et du développement durable ainsi que ses perspectives socio-économiques. Molson souhaite toujours maintenir une présence sur cet emplacement historique et est encore en négociation quant aux détails relatifs à des bureaux ou à un volet patrimonial à y établir. Nous avons bon espoir que les efforts continus à cet effet seront finalement bénéfiques pour le réaménagement du secteur. »

You are placing blame on a promoter for the inaction of government to fix a poorly designed interchange. This problem should have been fixed years ago. If it takes a massive project and standstill traffic to light a fire under the government’s behind to take action and rethink the interchange, then so be it. Why is it that government waits until things fall apart and reach a tipping point to fix something that is clearly broken ? Champlain and Turcot being prime examples, both are which cannot be argued to the contrary. Pathetic.

Has it crossed your mind that some citizens do not want to live in walkable communities as you've described? Lots of people want large lots, large driveways, large backyards, privacy, seclusion from neighbours and non-residential buildings, etc. I think we need to be cognizant that the definition of Plateau (for example) being the ideal neighborhood is not unanimous.

What I find interesting is many on this site feel that tall towers would overpower Mount Royal. But the sketches in my opinion do the exact opposite in that the mountain is more noticeable and glorified with taller towers beside it. Right now, they wash out the mountain as some towers are of similar height.

Is the lovely 1188 Sherbrooke O tower proposal canned for sure? If so it would really be too bad, on spec it has/had the potential to be the nicest tower in the city in my opinion.
