Que pensez-vous de cette tendance de faire un bâtiment banal et générique et  y mettre des murales pour sauver la mise? Haleco , Royalmount.. 

Les promoteurs ne sont jamais à cour d'idée pour réduire les couts.

Sauver la mise ? Aggraver la situation serait plus approprié comme constat.

Dans le cas de l'Haleco il aurait été beaucoup acceptable et de bon ton si toutes ses façades avaient été foncées comme les côtés Ouest et Est non-bariolés tout en gardant le loup comme petite touche d'originalité.

These same “low” end brands have been sharing space with the “high” end brands in Yorkdale mall for the past decade and it’s worked just fine. And many malls across the world have these brands sharing space.

These people commenting don’t know how to run a business.

That is true, on the brands sharing space.

Here in Nice, Cap 3000, it is on multiple levels and on one of the levels there is one wing just for higher end items (mostly jewelry and hands bags) and the next wing over you have the more reasonably priced items.

Maybe not...but they are the ones who decide whether they will shop there or not

Notwithstanding the fact that I agree with your comments above the quoted line, one could argue that building a luxury shopping mall with poor access in an industrial park at a highly congested freeway interchange is the definition of not knowing how to run a business.

What you just defined is fairly similar to defining Yorkdale. Off a highway, next to industrial area but close enough to an affluent residential area, and a metro stop just around the corner. Last I checked Yorkdale has the highest per sq ft revenu. To the west of Yorkdale it’s fairly industrial, was even more in the past and to the north there’s an old airport.

I get it people hate the concept of the mall, but what it’s being mocked for, other successful malls have as well.
