    I really can't get excited about this project. I find it hard to imagine Smart Centers coming up with anything more interesting than the generic shopping complexes that they've been building everywhere else. The only difference is that this one will be in a hole, albeit with the same chain stores that Montreal has in 10 or 20 other locations. Do we really need more shopping centers?

    J'ai passe aujourd'hui et cet trou d'eau (slurry?) est maintenant un carre de beton. Ont va voir la grue ici sous peu. Unfortunately my camera phone sucks, or I would have snapped a pic, but definitely looks like the crane is going to be placed on this foundation very soon.

    Also speculating here, but maybe the building is being prepped in advance of new neighbors. That is, for when the Spectrum is demolished and the lot becomes a construction site.

    J'ai passe aujourd'hui et la renaissance de la rue Balmoral s'acheve. Les egouts sont fini et sous terre.

    I think we'll see the crane soon. It looks like they're leveling the remaining earth in the hole. Of course, i could be completely wrong , but the crane has to show up sooner or later.

    Ont peut meme le voir de l'Avenue du Parc a l'hauteur de la rue Fairmount. Ca commence a etre impressionant.

    Peut etre ils pensent d'utiliser le vieux Parisien sur Ste-Cath qui est vide presentement...?

    Il y a presentement des travaux de renovation en cours dans les edifices sur St-Alexandre (en arriere du site). Peut etre quand ils seront fini, ils vont debuter le travail sur cet projet (si le projet est approuve)??
