  1. I love the moon over the crane! Great shot.
  2. You didn't; they are not electric: https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/stm-sticks-to-plan-for-new-buses-more-jobs-despite-drop-in-ridership But we do have 30: http://www.stm.info/en/about/major_projects/major-bus-projects/bus-network-electrification/electric-bus#id_deuxieme
  3. I personally like the eclectic nature of Montreal architecture, including Brutalism and even the functional fifties.
  4. What is the density of this project? It is very close to the metro.
  5. I like the fact that the new building does not come at the cost of the older, more interesting buildings.
  6. Interesting discussion: when I go to Paris I am so impressed with the uniformity of Haussmann's Paris and find the occasional 1960's apartment buildings look so out of place but on the other hand Dominic723 argument that "just repeating the neighbor facade" and bringing new angles which makes me think of NYC.
  7. The initial plan really respects the existing buildings: why did they change it?
  8. If so can you access the new annex via the garage?
  9. It will be finished just in time to start dismantling the Molson warehouse across the street.
  10. Great images, thanks! With this you can see that it lost a lot of its charm when they put in the extension and took out the patio. As well, it was always a fish out of water (pun intended) because it looks like it belonged on a major boulevard in the suburbs, not sandwiched between four story apartments downtown.
  11. About time! They closed that seafood restaurant how many years ago?
  12. These are the same guys who were working on a hotel at 6645 St-Jacques, in NDG (also in their portfolio). They stopped work months before COVID and it looks abandoned.
  13. I go by every morning: they are working and they have heavy machinery (that doesn't mean they are going to be quick).
  14. In Vancouver there are no services in the station but they are located in highly dense neighbourhoods so there is always food and services nearby. In the case of Kirkland station (to be located on the grass area on the right side of image), it is across the street from a big box mall.
  15. Thanks for the article; pretty funny at times
  16. "Leonard Cohen type?" Who were you thinking of?
