  1. Do you not believe in respecting the architectural integrity of an established quartier?
  2. Do you not see the extensive work put in making the side of the lower levels match the existing facade? (refer to Rocco's image from Monday, November 9th).
  3. Perhaps a blessing in disguise? The architecture paid little respect to existing building style of the neighbourhood so perhaps if it is taken over, the exterior could be re-imagined?
  4. Enclosed just in time for cold weather. Can any0one tell me if it is feasible to do brickwork in winter?
  5. I saw this demolition and asked a neighbour who claimed they will be putting up a six story apartment here, across from Jewish General hospital and two blocks from Metro. https://imtl.org/edifices/5713_Cote-des-Neiges.php
  6. A replication of the Hyatt on that lot could create a "doorway" to Montreal for those coming in on the Bonaventure.
  7. Soon we won't see the Gesu; I'll miss that view.
  8. Reminds me of the camouflage they used on battleships back in WW I to confuse the enemy as to which way they were going; same problem here. 🤣
  9. We could use a few more parks; Montreal is middle of the pack in North America with 14.3% of our land deicated to parks compared to 27% for New York, and we randk very poor compared to European cities: London (33 percent), Rome (34.8 percent), Madrid (35 percent), Stockholm (40 percent). 10. Shame! I like that fifties look. Another some loss for Montreal.
  11. Aren't they trying to repair/protect the brickwork?
  12. So that reduces the walk to 3 minutes? In the wintertime that would make a nice break for anyone living in the Viger Station site.
  13. Is there an entrance to the metro through CHUM Pavillon S?
  14. Cans someone define "micro apartments" please? How small is "micro"?
  15. I worked in the building for three years and insides is far more interesting, with massive atrium and natural lighting. It's a shame what they did with the exterior. Article not on topic but picture illustrates my point. https://montrealgazette.com/opinion/columnists/opinion-the-cynics-are-wrong-about-the-value-of-an-arts-degree
  16. "Close to highway"? That is some serious equivocation.
  17. Thanks for the clarification 👍
  18. Why does the rendering focus on Clarke? Does the lot not extend to St Laurent or is that another lot?
  19. So help me to understand: air rights means that if this is passed no one could buy the Imperial Theatre, tear it down and build something taller? It the purchase to ensure the view from the Imeria or something else?
  20. I find it too dense. I prefer to see parts of the city through the buildings.
  21. Could they not build a protected bike lane in the park parallel to the street? Seem like lots of space for it, at least in the picture.
