Rocco

Little house on the prairie! 😅 #étalementUrbain #fearOfNIMBYs #WasteIsland

SameGuy
🤦🏻♂️Yes I’m aware. @budgebandit has inside knowledge of Centre RioCan’s progress. It’s in Kirkland, and the original proposal was 5000 units and multiple high rises (20+ storeys). That’s already been downplayed once, but no news in over a year. I’d put good money on Broccolini and RioCan abandoning the plans if they have to deal with more Kirkland NIMBYism.

Problem is very universal but some good news coming out of Minneapolis: "the first major US city to end single-family zoning". Maybe we could take a more realistic look at how to solve this problem. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/aug/22/cities-climate-change-dense-sprawl-yimby-nimby
