  1. Mon March 4th 2019 Not sure where to put this. Theatre st james facade is being renovated and this morning various emergency vehicles on site.
  2. Awesome PDF, should be in original post. Mods maybe?
  3. Pretty amazing to see three distinct architectural eras side-by-side. Southam Building was probably considered a skyscraper in its early days. Mosaique (345 de la gauchetiere) is from 2006 but it might as well be 1986, not my cup of tea.
  4. Feb 23 2019 ornaments installed. Should be complete this summer.
  5. I don't take many pictures of this project because it's slow as f***. Also not really interesting. Feb 24 2019
  6. What was on that flatbed truck... concrete stairs?
  7. Ideally this would also extend to Transmissions Master...
  8. Bummer but thanks for sharing the info. I'm sure you can find something else for sale at your price range. Are you working with an agent?
  9. Is this taller or shorter than its "neighbor" across from Metro St-Laurent (forget the name already, the one with a red roof)
  10. How many underground parking floors are planned? Expected depth before they start building up?
  11. Yup I'm in team "they won't redo the Bleury wall" it's a false impression from the render. Purely marketing.
  12. I bought a house in Verdun (Crawford Park) a few years ago and am now raising a family here (just like many other young families in the area). For me it was unacceptable to live off-island, since both my wife and I work downtown. We have an unusually large backyard right by the Douglas, close to both the riverside and Angrignon park. There's a nice "suburban"-like community here. I think most people don't do their research well. It doesn't have to be West Island, Laval or South Shore. There are more options. We get by just fine with a single car and yes the house was more expensive upfront, but we put in the full downpayment after a few frugal while living downtown. From what I understand my taxes are not that much more than Brossard or Laval. I get to work within 30 minutes (unless the metro breaks down, granted) or I can also just bike along the aqueduc in the summer (not much of a winter cyclist). The Turcot and Champlain rebuilds are sort of affecting us, sure, but we've modified some of our habits in response, and I doubt anyone is NOT affected by them anyway. Similarly I have some friends who also bought a "veteran" house in Saint-Laurent in the "war time housing" neighborhood, and there are plenty of decent houses near Du College metro. You'll get one of three types: freshly renovated upsells (avoid), fixer-upper/unrenovated since the 70s (if you're DIY), or somewhere in the middle (what we went for). Just spend some time researching the various Montreal neighborhoods before looking off-island.
  13. That would have been impressive. Thanks for sharing!
  14. More or less same article as La Presse, except Eater says "Not Damas 2.0" will open in December 2019.
  15. Rarely drive on Shevchenko but yeah this is still "work in progress". However this article from the Messager caught my eye. LaSalle émet des avis d’infractions à Apéro Condos à LaSalle
  16. I'm glad we have a project on this spot. But the greenwashing kinda sickens me, and white brick now?? Ehhh. Bet ya 20 it'll be beige leftovers from Griffintown.
  17. Very old news from November 2018 but I don't remember reading here that Centre NAD was moving to this building in late 2019. https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1129203/ecole-nad-pavillon-montreal
  18. ^I believe this has been there for a few months. At least it was there late last year. https://le1981.com/en/vision/
