    Compared to the old Champlain bridge the New Champlain Bridge has that 3D feel to it.The other looks more like the ice bridge. Bigger lets hope better.

    I tried today to get some photos of the renovation at the Eaton's center today .But they sealed those section off from my noisy eyes. One day a construction worker will leave the door open for me to take a pic.I do like the design rendering ,But as we all know on Mtlurb (Great site & work by our Godfather on here) is what they start off with doesn't always look like it at the end.

    Check she will start the rolling on that next year, Now that she just raised all our taxes and our rents will go up along with everything else.Question by the time if it ever get built will Montrealers have 2 nickles left in there pocket to ride the Pinkline. TAX US TO DEATH TO BUILD HER DREAM.Don't worry the last year of her mandate,she will give us a small tax break. SAME OLD SAME OLD.

    I think the Cleopatra sign is degrading to woman.I do not think we should have signs of a woman exposed.Sure if you cover up some parts of it then it would be more acceptable.I think its long over do that the sins of the past should be corrected and its 2017 we should have a gender respect for each other .Cover up the nude parts of the sign to make it appear. With the presents of children on our streets i think we can do better with our young men.

    They should use the tunnel and put elevators at each end of it. It would save a lot of money and it does the job of connecting Champ de Mars & old Montreal. But we will waste tons of money building a structure,sure it will be nice but at what cost.

    Thanks nephersir7 if that design is picked i hope it fits in with that budget.Wish the public can see some of the other designs.But if this is the way the designs start off with ,its going to be a hard choosing process.Cheers to the design firm.

    I like it but i didn't see a cost breakdown for this type of design to get the go ahead. Plus what is the official date when they announce the park design winner and budget for the park.I do like the design of it.

    Well done to the artist who painted this mural, It does Montreal justice to honor a man who loved our beloved city.Like to see a few more around the city as well a placard to explain who they were and the value to our city.

    I hope they put a fixed roof on there that snow can melt off. Or a roof that's on a slider system so a little opens and please no more material that can rip.Look around the world with stadiums with roofs either fixed or that opens and spend our money smartly. YAH YAH !!! I know pipe dream.

    The Pink line is not going to happen it’s a Political ploy for Project Montreal to get elected.The stcum doesn’t seem to interested in this line. With the REM Light rail project soon to be started and with the blue line extension to be started in 2020. They will be no 6 billion dollar project that’s going to happen.YES I said 6 billion . Politicians lie to us all the time butt metro line extension is getting old real fast. I bet even if she gets elected this will never happen the way she wants it.

    For the stadium roof , I would like a fixed glass roof like on the side of the tower ( shaded ). They could keep the cables as design feature plus it could support the aluminum roof. Plus a must is proper drainage for our hash winters.( tempered glass panels). That’s my 2 cents.

    That’s true but here in Quebec we have to make sure our mobsters take there cut, Oh we can not forget the greedy politicians from every party. That’s why everything take so long and has to be redone in a couple of years. Some things never change

    Your totally right but when politicians kept kicking the replacement of this structure down the road for a decade plus.It cost more and they had to waste tons of money ? on keeping the old one from falling into the river. 3 things are for sure in life death,taxes and stupid politicians.

    Also remember the engineer strike earlier this summer which will change the schedule somewhat.So tack on another 2weeks

    The way the HABS was playing, maybe it would be a good idea to put a fence around the whole Bell center. Hey I get it after a game / concert it is a good way to control the traffic.

    My only Question is when it going to start construction on that project, Montreal city hall websites are weak on details.But JB667 we must have people on here who know the WHAT,WHERE AND WHEN on this project. Its a challenge for all you smart members on here. We need answers S.V.P merci

    The menu for the 1909 looks yummy and they carry 40 different types of beer ? and wines.

    Gotta say I like the 3 layers like a cake. Modern with respecting the old. I find this type of structure so much more interesting for the neighborhood that it’s in.

    Ok just checking because you said platform not tunnel. But yes the boarded up tunnel is interesting to the ceiling.

    Are you talking about yellow marker for the blind that has bumps in it. It warns you of the metro ledge.

    Yep my bag never been into over priced coffee. I stick to my instant coffee more bang for my bucks.

    Still have some work to do on the 1909 Taverne Moderne but with the photo's from inside it looks like its ready to host us beer drinkers oh and have a meal i guess. lol GO HABS GO
