  1. Montreal, the city of arsons... we need accountable leaders, not idiots running government.
  2. New renders for Jadco's development, 120 metres and another tower of about 100 metres. Commercial and rental spaces. https://jadcocorporation.com/residential-portfolio/#
  3. To get this thread back on topic, rather than complaining about stupidities... The terrasse and cafe that opened up are phenomenal. Hotel lobby and interior in general is insanely beautiful, had a client lunch yesterday with people from the U.S, they were blown away by it. A solid win for Montreal.
  4. Again, C.F dropped the ball so hard on arguably the most valuable land in downtown. Never mind the downscaling of all projects and delays, but they can't even fill in commercial spaces on their residential projects here. I won't be surprised if they pretend to do work here during F1 weekend and then do nothing after that. If I had the money, I'd buy those lots asap and develop them to their full potential with a unique project.
  5. Approved a 42-floor tower, then website says 38-floors, now website says 40-floors. Should we place bets now or?
  6. "For only $11,750 a month, enjoy the views of our luxury prefabricated Grey concrete to the East and West, giving you the ultimate privacy and feeling of intimacy"
  7. Ah so I got duped by the typical CCU weird wording of things... Damn
  8. 22 and 15 floors? I'll take it in this area.
  9. And this is just MTL INT numbers, it does not include expansions or investments that did not use their services, which means that $3.6B figure is more likely double... On top of that (and I can't say more on this) but I have contacts with people in SoFla who are planning expansions or relocations of their businesses to Montreal (mainly tech). Real-estate might be slowing down, but on the business side, Montreal is still very attractive for FDI.
  10. Kinda funny how every neighbourhood area ran by hard leftists are always drug, crime and homeless infested... To then hear people complain about these issues, while allowing it in the first place... To then complain when it gets cleaned up because of gentrification... Rinse and repeat. The city is also to blame for not giving resources/listening to NIMBYS here blocking projects, but it takes two to tango and both parties are bozos.
  11. If you all think project is dead.... it isn't, that's all I'll say.
  12. Incredible how slow this project has been so far....
  13. Considering the base is complete and they'll have to build 39 relatively thin floors, they can finish by end of 2024. But that window closes if they start later than Q1. The rental market is still piping hot in Montreal and this one will be built, but that 2024 window is getting more and more narrow by the day.
  14. There's literally nothing controversial about this project, I'm getting tired of NIMBYS. Really hope a bunch of YIMBYs go to the consultations and make this (and other developments) go through.
  15. Livmore 2 is expected to start this year, demand for rentals in Montreal are high, the market is piping hot. Icone2 on the other hand lol....
  16. And still broken lights 😜
  17. Any news on what they will do with the observation deck above the restaurant? (or did I miss news pertaining to that).
  18. I love how the glass looks like a deep blue here and a charcoal/smokey colour from different angles/different lighting. Very beautiful.
  19. Quebec suspending visas to non French speaking VC entrepreneurs....... https://www.quebec.ca/nouvelles/actualites/details/entrepreneurs-et-travailleurs-autonomes-premieres-mesures-pour-renforcer-limmigration-economique-francophone-44951
  20. Yay 7,500 with 7-25 metre buildings! Can't wait to see 400 sq ft 3 bedrooms, thanks to the city of Montreal's lack of ambition.
  21. I also realised, the article states the tower is 443 feet, which is 135 metres tall. Is that an error or did this get some small height boost in secret lol.
  22. $12.1 million for living above God's waiting room is definitely something special. The building is also the furthest thing away from being "luxurious".

  24. UN offices are usually small but play a huge factor globally, so it's still a win. Plus it will most definitely expand over the next few years.
